If you're having trouble finding a song, or you're not sure you should have offered those fandoms in the first place, or it's three weeks to deadline and you've only got 15 seconds in the timeline and you're not too happy with about seven of them, please don't freak out. It's gonna be awesome! You are awesome! You're making a vid as a present! And I'm gonna love it. Really.
If you've read my requests, you've probably noticed a theme, and that theme is "VID ALL THE WOMEN!!!" It's true, I am heavily invested in vids that explore female characters. That said, these are shows and movies I love from top to bottom, so if you want to focus on a male character or an m/m relationship, or do the whole ensemble, I am enthusiastically okay with that.
You've probably noticed I've given you little guidance about song choice. While I'm very picky about the songs I vid myself, I'm less and less obsessed about the songs other people use for their vids. Experience has taught me that, in terms of song choice, you can convince me of just about anything. I like most styles and genres of music. If you're worried about picking the one thing I loathe, that thing is black metal. The kind with the screaming. Basically if there's screaming in your song I'm going to struggle with it. Otherwise, go for it: classical, world, punk, blues, hip-hop, soul, folk, bluegrass, country, musical theater, gospel, gamelan, Chinese opera...I'm easy.
An Education [Movie]
Music: Any. Music from the period would be lovely, but use whatever you like.
Details: I love everything about this movie. Do whatever you want!
Bernie (2011) [Movie]
Music: Any.
Details: I'm particularly interested in a vid about the women in this movie, or anything that takes a serious look at the moral themes in it. But would be happy to see anything at all.
Parks & Recreation [TV]
Music: Any.
Details: A vid about Leslie's friendship with Ann would make my day. Also an ensemble vid. Also anything about Leslie being awesome. An April character study would be amazing, too. Ditto a Ron Swanson character study. Funny or serious, romantic or gen, just as you like.
Sense & Sensibility (1995) [Movie]
Music: Any, though something from the period would be nice.
Details: My favorite thing about this story is the relationship between the sisters, but the sky's the limit as far as I'm concerned.
Six Feet Under [TV]
Music: Any.
Details: I love them all, but I'd particularly love a vid about Brenda. I also really love Rico's character arc over the course of the series; that seems like rich fodder for a vid and I'll bet no one's ever done one.
Sports Night [TV]
Music: Any.
Details: I love all the characters, relationships, and themes on this show. A vid about Dana and Natalie would make me especially happy (slashy or friendshippy), but there is no way to go wrong here.
