I am a media fan. Once an avid consumer of fanfiction and occasional writer of same, I am now pretty much exclusively a vidder and vid-viewer. I do have a healthy taste for fannish meta, as well.
I state strong opinions here, but I have no affection for flamewars or kerfuffles, so I don't tend to rant. Neither, however, am I a member of the Cult of Nice. I use emoticons and parentheticals to avoid misunderstandings and I try to be polite at all times, but that's as far as it goes.
I'd say about 60% of my posts are vid-related, 20% are general fandom/meta-related, 10% are personal stuff, 5% are links to other people's interesting entries/stories/vids, and 5% are news of the wacky. I won't post if I have nothing interesting to say, so you won't find something new every day.
In general, my goal here is to write posts that both please me and interest you, and to stay connected to my community of friends, some of the most brilliant, talented, and inspirational people I've ever met.
I am currently cross-posting to LiveJournal but will probably let my LJ account lapse when my next annual payment is due.
